It belongs to the same genre. If you enjoy Vampire Survivors, Brotato or 20 Minutes Till Dawn, you will recognise the loop — Reign of Thorns adds a dark-fantasy world, floors with portals, boss fights and a weekly leaderboard.

Each floor lasts ten minutes, and a strong build can descend through several floors. A short session of five to fifteen minutes is enough for a satisfying run.

Complete quests in the Chronicle and keep playing. Heroes and extra skills unlock as you progress, and diamonds buy permanent upgrades.
