Whirlwind Edge is a legendary chest item that raises Whirlwind Edge for Blade Sweep only. It lasts for the rest of the run. One copy is all it needs; extra copies do nothing.

How to get Whirlwind Edge
Chest items drop from treasure chests out in the wilds — spend gold to open one, and each chest costs more than the last. Rarer items are rarer drops, so Luck (from Fortune or the Censer) makes a legendary pull more likely. On every floor’s plaza the Wishing Well grants the exact item you name once per floor: the surest way to complete a build around Whirlwind Edge.

Without Blade Sweep in your build this item does nothing, so take the skill first and wish for the item once the skill is upgraded.
