Prospecting is a level-up pick that raises Gold Gain for the rest of the run. Every further pick adds another level, up to 60; rarer offers grant more per level.

Timing
When to take Prospecting
Take it early if you want the whole run to benefit; Prospecting pays off over time rather than in the next fight. Out of slots? The Thorn Archive on each floor’s plaza removes a potion, and the Diamond Trader sells extra potion slots.
